Photograph Gallery week ending 22 March 2015

On the 7 March 2015 I published some photographs of the Greater Flamingo. I think the majority of people if asked what colours they think of in relation to this bird will include white, pink and salmon. These photographs of juvenile birds will hopefully challenge the concept.

Two more images of a Red Squirrel taken in Guardamar del Segura earlier this month.

Sanderling. Skittish little things; never seemed to stand still; first going one way and then another so focus on their eyes is not at its best.

No hope with the 'Sanderling Six' formation.

Cattle Egret on the move.

Photograph Gallery Week Ending 15 March 2015

Although there are only six days' photographs there are 20 images: I hope you enjoy them.

A Red Admiral on the japonica in our garden.

In the following two photographs you can see the butterfly feeding from the flowers via its proboscis.

Squirrel Double Trouble. They can't seem to decide whether or not the tree is a one-way or two-way road.

Cattle Egret on the land in front of my house.

Black-winged Stilt.

European Pond Turtle.

Wet and Spanish-sun super dry.

This image shows the reality of life and death.

Photograph Gallery for Week Ending 8 March 2015

Here are the 19 photographs I published during the week. The first two follow on from the night shots I should last week.

We all know what a Peacock looks like so I thought I would show you some different images to depict the magnificence of the bird. These photographs were taken in Guardamar de Segura on Monday 2015-03-02.

Spanish Scarce Swallowtail (Iphiclides feisthamelii) on the japonica in our front garden.

Are these faces which only their mothers can love?

OK, I admit it, I have weakened whilst in Orihuela Costa, Spain and posted the inevitable photographs of the Greater Flamingo. My excuse is that these are the first taken with my current camera.

This shows some on the salt-lake at La Mata, Alicante province, Spain.

The following three images were taken on the salt-lakes at Lo Pagán, Murcia province, Spain.
