The articles I include in this personal Blog will include a varied range of subjects that interest me. They will predominantly relate to the United Kingdom (my homeland), Spain and Europe. Any opinions I express will probably not be too contentious, however they are mine and not that of any organisation or group of which I am a member.

Great Crested Grebe at RSPB Frampton Marsh.
House Sparrow collecting material to make his comfortable for her & the fledglings.
Black-headed Gulls at Whisby Nature Reserve, Lincoln.
Chaffinch pauses before going to the seed feeder.
Whilst I was at the Whisby Nature Reserve, Lincoln, several bird-watchers (twitchers) and photographers I met asked me if I had spotted the three or four Mediterranean Gulls amongst the hundreds of Black-headed Gulls. Well I couldn't be unsuccessful so these two photographs show I did spot three of them; I couldn't find the fourth one. The Mediterranean Gull has black head hood-marking whereas the Black-headed Gull has a smaller brown head hood-marking – confusing. No prize but can you spot the difference.
