I don't know what variety/ies the butterfly and caterpillar are but I
like the colour.
I was thinking of a title for the first image of 'Two
in One' but then thought perhaps 'After and Before' might be
appropriate.
'Sprightly Spaniard'
Greater Flamingo juvenile.
Hoopoe - Upupa epops.
Not as sharp as I'd like but for first images I think they're OK. Gives me something to improve on if I get another chance.
Relaxed Red Squirrel checking the quality of a discarded marble worktop.
The 'Sphodromantis viridis' is smiling.
Spanish 'Fan Dancer' called Garceta ComĂșn.

The articles I include in this personal Blog will include a varied range of subjects that interest me. They will predominantly relate to the United Kingdom (my homeland), Spain and Europe. Any opinions I express will probably not be too contentious, however they are mine and not that of any organisation or group of which I am a member.

My Photograph Gallery for September 2015.
Double vision - Little Egrets.
'All Clear Behind.' - Blue Tit.
'Follow me: follow me' - Lapwing.
Black-necked Grebe. The first is in breeding plumage and the second I think is non-breeding. You can see the eye markings are different as well as the plumage.
Yellow-legged Gull ?
Greater Flamingo.
Redshank.
My first photograph of a Sardinian Warbler.
I think this is a Kentish Plover, although its legs might be the wrong colour.
It's only a Little Egret but I like the water flow image.
Squacco Heron. A first for me.

My Photographs for week ending 23 August 2015.
An exercise in a trial of alternative presentations of Blackbirds.
Four images of the Red-footed Falcon at Willow Tree Fen NR 19.08.2015. It's unfortunate that his back was towards me and head in the shadow but at least I got to see this rarity and grab a few shots in the 55 seconds he was perched nearby.
A Little Egret having a 'Quick Snack'
I asked the Grey Heron at Fiskerton Fen N.R. to show me some different poses.
Eating peanuts and sunflower-hearts makes the mouth dry.

My Photograph Gallery for week ending 2 August 2015
Great Tit.
They might not be the prettiest, or most colourful, of some birds but Gulls have a sleek, handsome look that gives an air of being aloof and arrogant. Black-headed Gull.
Blackbird chilling out.
A Little Egret alone with its shadow.
Starlings are head and shoulders above other birds for audacity.
